Six week summer job at Ventura County Health Care Agency for high school students from immigrant and migrant families designed to teach them about healthcare careers they might not otherwise consider.

Every Spring the residents along with Dr. Philip encourage high school students to pursue a career in the healthcare field. 

Santa Paula Tattoo Removal Clinic

Once a month residents along with various community physicians provide free tattoo removals.

One Stop Clinic

Every Tuesday and Thursday both social services and medical care is provided to the homeless community in Ventura through the One Stop Clinic. Please contact Kate Mills the Program Director for more information at kate.mills@ventura.org

MICOP

The Mixtec Indigenous Community Outreach Project is a non-profit organization aimed at empowering the indigenous migrant worker families from Southern Mexico. The residents participate in the monthly community meetings along with coordinating the annual backpack drive and vaccine clinic. For more information go here.

Minority Retention and Recruitment Committee

The committee focuses on promoting diversity and cultural competence among medical professionals. The goal is to provide opportunities and mentorship for students traditionally underrepresented in medicine via high school, undergrad, and medical school outreach/recruitment.
