Hi! My name is Sam Grossman and I'm originally from Los Angeles, although I've lived all over California -- from Oakland all the way up to the lesser-known Trinity County. I attended UC Santa Cruz for college and then completed a postbacc at Mills College before heading to New York Medical College. When I'm not learning, I like to spend time with my wife and son and our rambunctious dog playing outside, exploring the wilderness, fiddling on the guitar, and making tasty food (if medicine doesn't work out, I fully plan to open a breakfast restaurant with house-smoked meats). My love for family medicine and primary care comes mainly from my experience living in rural communities and working with kids at the Bar 717 Ranch, a summer camp in Hyampom, CA. I'm excited to join the team at VCMC and to learn about how full spectrum care can improve individual and community health.
