Diana Sawyer Thompson serves as Director of Medical Education and has been with Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) since 2022. With 14 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education, she brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to supporting residents, faculty, and institutional leaders. Her work focuses on accreditation oversight, program development, recruitment strategy, and strengthening the systems that allow training programs to thrive. Diana is passionate about creating learning environments where physicians feel supported and prepared for independent practice, and she takes pride in building strong partnerships that advance both educational excellence and patient care. In her spare time, Diana enjoys spending time with family, camping, and reading.
