The Residency Program's Core Educators
DAVID ARAUJO, M.D.
Program Director
Dr. Araujo graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at VCMC in 1988. He worked for 8 years with Kaiser, and then 12 years as the Program Director of the FM Residency in Merced, affiliated with UC Davis. His special interests include critical care medicine, vasectomy, and OB ultrasound. He and his wife, Joan, with 5 children, joined the program in 2009. His vision is to continue the full spectrum training program that has trained hundreds of family physicians since 1968.
