JEMMA ALARCON, M.D.

I was born in South TX and grew up in Northern Mexico. In between my undergrad at Hopkins and my medical school at UC Irvine I got to join the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for a 2 year fellowship where I joined in their mission to improve and protect our public health. At UC Irvine I was part of PRIME-LC a 5 year MD/Master’s program designed to foster physician-activists who will work in underserved Latino communities.
I am happy to be at VCMC where we get to provide excellent care while practicing primary care and public health across different settings.
