VCMC Summer Scholar Program

The Summer Scholar Program at VCMC, supported by a grant from the Ventura County Medical Resource Foundation, provides undergraduate students considering careers in medicine and other health care professions with an opportunity to spend eight weeks during the summer with the medical faculty and the physicians in training of the Family Medicine Residency at Ventura County Medical Center.

Welcome to Ventura!

Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) Family Medicine Residency Program is a premier site for full spectrum Family Medicine education. Affiliated with the UCLA School of Medicine, VCMC is one of the original 15 programs approved in Family Practice 40 years ago and has been educating physicians since 1928. Emphasis is on educating family physicians to have the skills to work anywhere, especially with the medically underserved.
